Glass is often used in occasions that have certain requirements for light and color, such as optical instruments and various art decorations, because of its light transmittance and reflectivity, and easy to color. Modern technology has brought new vigor and vitality to the glass industry, and at the same time, the performance of glass has been greatly improved. We will briefly introduce the types of glass bottle containers, and explain how the glass liner of the thermos is formed.
1. What types of glass bottle containers are there?
There are many types of glass containers, which are classified as follows:
(1) Classification according to the size of the bottle mouth
①Small mouth bottle. It is a glass bottle with an inner diameter of less than 20mm. It is mostly used for packaging liquid materials, such as soft drinks and various wines.
②Large mouth bottle. The inner diameter of the bottle mouth is between 20-30mm, and the shape is relatively thick and short, such as a milk bottle.
③ Wide-mouth bottles. Such as canned bottles, honey bottles, pickle bottles, candy bottles, etc. The inner diameter of the bottle mouth is greater than 30mm, the neck and shoulders are short, and the bottle shoulders are flat, mostly in the shape of a can or a cup. It is large, easy to load and discharge, and is mostly used for packaging canned food and viscous materials.
(2) Classification by bottle geometry
①Round bottle. The cross section of the bottle body is round, which is a widely used bottle type with high strength.
②Square bottle. The cross section of the bottle body is square, the strength of this bottle is lower than that of the round bottle, and it is more difficult to manufacture, so it is used less.
③Curved bottle. Although the cross section is circular, it is curved in the height direction. There are two kinds of concave and convex, such as vase type, gourd type, etc. The form is novel and very popular with users.
④Oval bottle. The cross section is ellipse. Although the capacity is small, the shape is unique and users like it very much.
(3) Classification according to different uses
① Bottles for wine. The output of wine is very large, almost all of which are packaged in glass bottles, mainly round bottles.
②Daily packaging glass bottle. It is usually used to package various daily commodities, such as cosmetics, ink, glue, etc. Due to the variety of commodities, the bottle shape and seal are also diverse.
③Canned bottle. There are many kinds of canned food and large output, so it is self-contained. Multi-purpose wide-mouth bottle, the capacity is generally 150ML~1000ML.
④Pharmaceutical bottles. This is a glass bottle used to package medicines, including 10~200mL brown small mouth bottles, 100~1000mL infusion bottles, fully sealed ampoules, etc.
⑤ Bottles for chemical reagents. It is used for packaging various chemical reagents, the capacity is generally 250~1200mL, and the bottle mouth is mostly screw or ground.
(4) Classification by color
There are colorless transparent bottles, white bottles, brown bottles, green bottles and blue bottles, etc.
(5) Classification by bottle neck shape
There are neck bottles, no-neck bottles, long-neck bottles, short-neck bottles, thick-neck bottles and narrow-neck bottles, etc.
